Alpental Valley Ice Tour

Our friends Mick and Kim, joined Kim and I for a morning of ice climbing at Alpental on this glorious morning. The early morning sun was shining bright as we pulled into the upper Alpental parking lot. We were among the first cars there, so our early start had paid off!

We made the 30 minute hike back to the falls, taking our time and enjoying the blue bird day! It hadn't snowed in several days and we were enjoying a week long high pressure system: Perfect conditions for climbing! We arrived at the falls and were surprised to see it so different than on previous trips.
