Mt Baring 6125ft

West Ridge/South Slope

July 16, 2003

Kim and I climbed Mt Baring today and enjoyed some pretty nice views south, but the valley to the north was full of clouds so we couldn't fully appreciate the 3000ft drop.

3900' gain

6 miles round trip

started hiking: 7:47am

arrived at summit 11:50am (after a 20 minute lunch break)

ate some more food at the summit for 15 minutes

started hiking down: 12:17pm

back at car: 3:25pm (leisurely pace down to save the knees)
