Kim was working in Port Gamble today, so I tagged along and did some hiking in the Olympics. I hadn't done any real hiking this season so Mt Buckhorn fit the bill with a 5 mile approach, a nice scramble, and a (nearly) 7000' summit.

The beautiful trail followed the Big Quilcene river for 3 miles

After losing the trail, I headed up steep scree and snowslopes to the summit
