Squamish Rock Climbing
Snake, Diedre, and more!
August, 2006
|
Loren Miller, Andy King, his special lady friend Tara and I spent three days climbing in
Squamish. The first day, we arrived in the afternoon so we just climbed some fun friction climbs
below the Smoke Bluffs.
The next morning we climbed Snake, a fun 7 pitch 5.9 climb on the lower Apron of The Stuwamus Chief.
We were looking for Diedre, but took a wrong turn. This was Andy's first trad lead. Not too shabby!!!
The last morning, Loren and I climbed Diedre, having found it thanks to my good
friend Matt Mussallem showing it to us. Matt was going to join us, but he was feeling pretty
sick so he left after making sure we were on the right route. You're the best, Matt!
Loren and I made good time on Diedre and made it back down to town in time to have brunch with
Andy and Tara.
