For Christmas, Kim received a gift certificate to Charlie's Greenhouse in Mount Vernon from our nephew Blake . So last Saturday we drove up and bought a heater and fan for our greenhouse.

Peter also sealed all of the joints of the greenhouse panels with caulking, so it is now more airtight. Now the greenhouse stays around 50-60F day or night. Since our winter here in Seattle has been unusually warm so far, we decided to bring our deciduous bonsai and some of our trees with smaller pots into the greenhouse for the winter. Since they were already starting to form leaf buds and new growth, we were concerned that if a cold snap did occur later in the season it could damage or even kill them.
